FLUX is about ministry innovation. It challenges ministry leaders to think differently about the results they want as a church and how to make changes to existing ministry models to get new results. Specifically FLUX shows that there are really only four paths to the future and provides sixteen powerful question to help every leaders navigate their own path.

About this experience

–FLUX helps identify common areas that leaders get stuck with vision and innovation.

–FLUX challenges leaders to think differently about ministry results.

–FLUX provides a practical perspective on making changes to any ministry model.

–FLUX offers penetrating questions for team brainstorming and dreaming.

–FLUX is a pathway to a greater freedom and impact by encouraging leaders to be “future designers”

After 10 years of helping church leaders discern and develop their vision, FLUX is written in response to the accumulation of thousands of responses to one question: “How do you see your church being different in two years?” FLUX is also the sequel to the book Church Unique (also by Will Mancini), which has become a celebrated visioning methodology of ministry leaders world-wide.

As a “clarity evangelist,” Will has served as vision architect for hundreds of churches across the country including the leading churches within Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran and Non-denominational settings. His clients include notable organizations like Leadership Network and Upward Unlimited and pastors like Chuck Swindoll and Max Lucado.

Will’s style blends the best of three worlds: the process thinking from the discipline of engineering, the communications savvy as an ad agency executive, and the practical theology as a pastoral leader. His pastoral experience includes helping lead two different congregations to over 3,000 in weekend attendance in 10 years — Clear Creek Community Church and FaithBridge United Methodist Church. Will’s education includes a ThM in Pastoral Leadership from Dallas Theological Seminary and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State.
In many church growth stories, while leaders later point to principles that “got them there,” they underplay the power of serendipitous, providential events of which they were able to take advantage. Could it be one of the reasons that churches grow is because the leadership of the church is willing and able to capitalize on the opportunities provided by God? This Leadia Experience is designed to get the reader ready, willing and able to catch the waves of opportunity God is sending.

Communal Morphing: How to Facilitate Community Based Leadership Development

by Steve Saccone

Communal morphing is a term describing the transformational impact that creative peer-learning experiences can foster among emerging leaders when designed and facilitated well. It’s an effective method of leadership development that helps leaders maximize their time and draw on the strengths of those around them for better learning, and a process to help cultivate a leadership development culture in any ministry context.

This Leadia experience offers three primary things: (1) innovative ideas to help leaders foster community orientated leadership development, (2) creative solutions to help leaders overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of doing leadership development effectively, and (3) it serves as a guide for ministry leaders who desire to multiply their impact by harnessing the talents and insights of those around them.

What Others Are Saying

“Steve doesn’t just know about what it means to have leaders invest in leaders; he has lived the reality of it.” ~ John Ortberg

From the Author

Several years ago, I asked myself, “What if I could redesign the seminary education process?” And then I took it one step further and asked, “What if I could redesign our paradigm for how we think emerging church leaders are developed most effectively? These questions and a series of other related ones drove me to synergize what I’ve learned along the way when it comes to developing leaders. That’s what motivated me to design this Communal Morphing experience for ministry leaders who want to learn how to more effectively develop the next generation.

Available NOW!

Real Community Transformation – From Rhetoric to Results for the Glory of God

by Mark DeYmaz

Well-meaning pastors boldly proclaim, “We’re going to change the world; we’re going take this city for Christ!” But the question remains, Have you ever seen this happen? In Real Community Transformation, Mark DeYmaz explains how to lead your church beyond rhetoric to results by advancing a proven, effective, model for community engagement via the local church. Learn why you should and how you can apply a balanced, synergistic strategy along spiritual, social, and financial fronts; and in the process, advance the credibility of its witness among believers and non-believers, alike. In addition, find out why rhetoric so often fails to produce results when it comes to taking our communities for Christ, and how to get beyond it for the glory of God. Real-time stories of transformation, interactive links and videos, as well as the testimony of civic leaders, validate this bold, thought-leading resource!

From the Author

In January 1984, fresh out of college, I entered full-time ministry. Yet in spite of my best efforts (I must admit) the world remains unchanged. In general, it is cool (at best) in its openness to Christianity (one of many religions; problematic), unimpressed by its perception of Christians (self-serving; agenda-driven), and often disappointed in its experience with the Church (judgmental; unforgiving). If anything, the collective cynicism of those without Christ is getting worse.

I created this resource to help churches get beyond rhetoric to results in order to become a bright light in the public square (Matthew 5:16); to help pastors understand Gospel proclamation in more than individual terms, but also to help them what it should mean to entire communities, as well; to help the local church advance a more credible witness in an increasingly cynical society; and to provide proven, specific, information to pastors that will help them develop their own plans, set specific goals, and realize measurable results along spiritual, social and financial fronts for the glory of God.

In 2001, he planted the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas in Little Rock, Arkansas where he continues to serve as the Directional Leader. A recognized leader in the emerging Multi-ethnic Church Movement, Mark has written three books on the subject including, Building a Healthy Multi-ethnic Church, chosen as a finalist for a Christianity Today Book of the Year Award (2008) and for a Resource of the Year Award (2008) sponsored by Outreach Magazine. His other books include Ethnic Blends: Mixing Diversity Into Your Local Church and Should Pastors Accept or Reject the Homogeneous Unit Principle? In addition, Mark writes a regular column for Outreach Magazine and he is a contributing editor for Leadership Journal. His wife, Linda, is also the author of two books, including Mommy, Please Don’t Cry, a Retailer’s Choice Award Nominee (2005), and anointed resource providing hope and comfort for parents who grieve the loss of a child. In 2005, Mark co-founded the Mosaix Global Network and currently serves as its President. A former member of Little Rock’s Racial and Cultural Diversity Commission he established Vine and Village, a 501c3 focused on improving the quality of life for people living in the city’s 72204.

Leadership demands vision.

Vision requires imagination.

Imagination demands…something.

Imaginative gridlock is something everyone grapples with at some point. Rather than throw our hands up in discouragement or assume we just aren’t creative, we can dislodge the “stuckness” by looking in unexpected places like our spiritual life, emotions, and pain tolerance. Imaginative gridlock is more about the heart than the head. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we can break through it.

This Leadia experience will help leaders free their imaginations by asking tough questions of themselves and dealing positively with the underlying issues that cause imaginative gridlock. Imaginative gridlock is not first a matter of “shaking the tree” of our minds until something decent falls out. It’s a matter of separating ourselves from the emotional processes of our congregations and own families enough to allow imagination to actually happen—while remaining connected. We must understand ourselves, our beliefs, our positions, our calling well enough as to not be unduly influenced by the emotional processes around us.

From the Author:
I created this Leadia experience to help those suffering the ministry equivalent of “writer’s block.” I believe some ideas with the greatest potential to help the Kingdom advance can come from those who don’t consider themselves very imaginative, but even the most “creative” among us will need to break through imaginative gridlock at some point. My hope is this leadership experience can be a step forward in that process.

Just a little over ten years ago Leadership Network convened our first gathering of multisite churches and leaders and today we have directly served over 100 churches through our Leadership Communities and InnovationLabs. Much has happened in the multisite movement since that initial meeting. When we first gathered a decade ago, terminology such as campus pastor, original campus and central support systems, didn’t exist. Today these phrases and roles are a part of the common vernacular of the Church. The conversations about physical property have expanded to include establishment of campuses online and thoughts about extending reach across town have grown to include across the country and literally around the world.

So, what will the next 10 years bring? That’s a great question. During the summer of 2012, Leadership Network convened some of the pioneers of the movement for a two day discussion and “ideas to implementation to impact” session.

It was a gathering of the multisite master minds and a chance to explore the future. This Leadia experience will give you a “behind the curtain” look at some of the results of that time together. You will have the chance to her directly from some of the pioneers who are Leadership Network Clients and have the opportunity to engage in conversations around the latest innovations.

This Leadia experience is about looking into the under-examined side of multisite student ministry and exploring the strategies that can lead to success in your church. You will be exposed to the wins and the failures of my ministry and those of other student ministry leaders around the country.

From the Author:

Using information directly from multisite churches across the country you will be exposed to different models and challenges faced in operating a student ministry in multiple locations. We will look at a multitude of subjects from hiring to spiritual formation. I believe this experience will give you a greater insight into the sometimes complex inner workings of multisite student ministry.

I created this project because of my passion for student ministry and to contribute to resolving the issue of the lack of resources and information about this subject. There is a lot of information available about how to run a multisite but little on operating secondary worship experiences. My prayer is that many churches and Pastors will not have to make the same mistakes that many made years ago as well as be encouraged in the process of creating their own unique student ministry.

His passion is rethinking the standard ways of doing “church” and finding avenues to apply fresh models for reaching, leading and cultivating kids, students, adults and families . In addition to speaking and writing, Andy has a love for coaching churches, ministries and organizations as they seek to more effectively execute their unique missions.

He is on staff at Cross Timbers Community Church, a multi-site church based in Argyle, Texas where he serves as the Executive Pastor of Family Ministries. Andy is also the founder of the Xperience It! Foundation and Andy Tilly Ministries.

He is the author of Church Unique: How Missional Leaders Cast Vision, Capture Culture and Create Movement, a Leadership Network Publication, and of Building Leaders.
